Opposite the school building stood the Málaga Town Hall, now home to the Colegio de San Agustín. Picasso’s father, curator at the Town Museum, used to work there. We can easily picture the man and his son walking across Plaza de la Merced and down Granada or San Agustín Street to reach one’s school and the other’s workplace. We can see both of them looking across the street to where the other was.
