Málaga will once again be lit up for Christmas in November. After considering different dates and studying the possibility of postponing it to December, the City Council has announced that the light show will open on Saturday 26 November, one day later than tradition.
This year the Christmas lights will be switched on from 6.30pm to midnight (weekends until 2am).

To continue attracting visitors, this year Calle Larios will have a new luminous decoration designed exclusively for Málaga by the company Ximenez Iluminación. For the moment, the details of the new lighting have not been revealed, but the aim of the new lighting is ‘the enjoyment of the public and excellence in Christmas decoration.’ Around half a thousand streets, squares and roundabouts in the city will have Christmas lights this year.
