The Malaga French Film Festival, which will be held from 14th to 21st October 2022 and is organised by the Alliance Française de Malaga, will this year present an official section with 12 previews, focusing on promising and new talents. They delve into stories that speak of the family as a diverse entity, of mental health, institutional violence, vital and historical events, as well as of opportunities to rebuild our lives.

This edition will pay tribute to Sébastien Lifshitz, a filmmaker who brings us closer to different but equally important realities, such as that of Bambi. Several visual artists will be brought together to reflect on identity in an ad hoc exhibition. In addition, this edition will be celebrated with a closing ceremony on wheels. It will be with the preview of a road trip in a new venue: Autocine Málaga Metrovacesa, where you can experience an immersive and innovative experience in the festival.

Since 2018, the Festival has grown exponentially, favouring synergies between the different partners and sponsors.

For its 28th edition, the Alliance Française Malaga has multiplied its collaborations with municipal and provincial institutions such as the Centre Pompidou Malaga or the Cine Albéniz. It has also opened new venues at the Autocine Malaga Metravacesa and the Cinesur Mare Nostrum. Thanks to these new synergies, the Festival has established itself in the cultural landscape of Malaga and has allowed the AFM to strengthen its cultural vocation in its area of action.

In 5 years, the Festival has become a milestone in the cultural policy of the Alliance Française in Malaga, allowing it to create a local, national and international cultural network to promote the image of the event and that of its sponsors.
