Picasso as Seen by Otero, at the Picasso Museum Málaga, offers an approach to Pablo Picasso’s life and work through the eyes of Roberto Otero, one of the few reporters the artist welcomed at home in the south of France, letting him document his work place in the 1960s, along with countless scenes from his everyday life with his family and friends.

The images that make this exhibition offer a glimpse of Pablo Picasso’s day-to-day life, working on his exhibition of ceramics in Vallauris, selecting works for a retrospective, working with his wife, Jacqueline, or just spending time with colleagues or friends. They also show Picasso alone, engrossed in his creative process or in work – which he did on a daily basis.

According to José Lebrero, artistic director of the Picasso Museum Málaga, this selection of photographs by Roberto Otero are displayed “as a short story, as an open narrative, as a business card that welcomes visitors to Pablo Picasso’s private world.”
