The Cánovas Theatre is located on El Ejido Hill, in the Downton District (Centro) in Málaga City, Spain.
The theatre opened in 1991 and has been managed by the Andalusian Agency for Cultural Institutions, reporting to the Ministry of Culture and Historical Heritage of the Andalusian Government, since 2005.
With 370 seats, the Cánovas Theatre is one of the multipurpose venues run by the Andalusian Ministry of Culture and Historical Heritage.
