Port Work Committee

20th century building. Designed and built between 1932-1935 by the engineer Manuel Aceña González it is located within the Port. It is an interesting, noble-looking building in the traditionalist style that connects with formulas used in historic buildings that have a similar functionality. It is square, with a bossage finish and with a Doric tetrastyle portico above the entrance that supports a balcony. The central spans of the main floor open on to the balcony and a pillared wall starts at this point, alternating with windows. This is completed above the cornices by a pediment with the clock and coat of arms of the Guild of Engineers and the City. The interior boasts a magnificent boardroom and a wide, imperial main staircase.
