Museums: activities for children every weekend
Málaga is the city of museums and children and young people play a leading role in them.. Málaga’s museums offer numerous workshops and activities for the youngest members of the family, especially on Saturdays and Sundays.
Many of these initiatives form part of the programme parallel to its temporary exhibitions. They allow children to learn about painting techniques, architecture, colour and, above all, to get to know the different artists and their works.
The Museo Picasso Málaga, the Museo Carmen Thyssen Málaga, the Colección del Museo Ruso de San Petersburgo Málaga, the Centre Pompidou Málaga, the Museo Casa Natal Picasso or the Museo Automovilístico y de la Moda are some of the places that offer children's activities every weekend.
Many of them offer summer camps, so depending on the days you are in town you may be able to enjoy these activities, learning and fun are guaranteed!
Fascination for art: perfect museums to visit with children
In addition to these museums, the city is also home to other spaces more focused on the most demanding public: children.
Museo de la Imaginación. In this museum, all children can be whatever they want and adults can feel like children, you just have to have your mind ready. Visual illusions, music that you can feel beyond your ears, games of light and shadow... Fun is guaranteed!
MIMMA, Museo Interactivo de la Música de Málaga. When you enter this space, you can enter into a dialogue with the exhibition. Here you can see an important collection of musical instruments from all over the world and from all periods of history. There are also rooms where you are 'asked to play' and where playing an instrument is almost obligatory when you visit.
Principia. Centro de Ciencia. This is an interactive science center that promotes scientific and technological dissemination to all audiences in a fun way. You can manipulate objects, experiment and investigate.
Alborania. Aula del Mar. In the Palmeral de las Sorpresas you will find this space where you can enjoy unique experiences and emotions. Exhibitions to discover, learn and experiment; audiovisuals, aquariums to observe marine species in their habitat, workshops and itineraries are part of its offer.
Museo & Tour Málaga CF. If your 'little ones' are lovers of the beautiful game, La Rosaleda stadium offers a visit to the club's museum and a tour of the stadium. As well as learning about more than a hundred years of football history in Málaga, you can walk around the stadium, walk on the grass, sit in the presidential seat in the VIP box or access the tunnel to the changing rooms and occupy the benches.
