Flea markets are for summer too!
Flea markets and summer go hand in hand.
And if they are set in a historic enclave, or by the sea, even better. In Malaga, most flea markets take place regularly throughout the year, but there are also some held exclusively in the summer season.
Handicrafts, fashion, gastronomy, cosmetics, accessories... Everything you need can be found in the dozens of stalls spread throughout these spaces, that were chosen exclusively to make shopping a unique experience.
LaMerced & Co - Artisans in the Plaza
On the first Sunday of every month, the Plaza de la Merced hosts the most alternative flea market in the city. Fashion and accessories, illustrations, ceramics and textiles are some of the many varieties of local products that can be found here.
Its opening hours are from 11am to 7pm. The market usually celebrates a few special editions.
El Paseo Market (The Promenade Market)
On Paseo Marítimo Ciudad de Melilla (the promenade next to La Malagueta beach), El Paseo Market is held on the second Sunday of every month, a flea market that gives visibility to creators, artisans, designers, local producers and solidarity projects.
Its opening hours are from 11am to 7pm, and throughout the day you can see live work demos by the market’s participants, or purchase items from small-scale production.
Mercado Artesanal del Mar (Artisanal Sea Market)
On the third Sunday of every month, the Paseo Antonio Banderas hosts the Mercado Artesanal del Mar, which runs from 11am to 7pm, and brings together more than 40 local businesses exhibiting their work in different areas: handicrafts, fashion, gastronomy... It was created to showcase entrepreneurs in the city.
Mercado Urbano del Soho (Soho Urban Market)
On the last Sunday of each month, the Soho 'Art Neighbourhood' takes centre stage. From 11am to 7pm, more than fifty artists come together on Tomás Heredia Street to offer highly original and unique creations.
Artisans, creators, crafters, designers and local producers join together in one place to offer products that are different, exclusive and handmade. Here you can also enjoy live work demos.
The aim of this market is to promote creativity, encourage self-employment and connect creators and producers with buyers.
AT MUELLE UNO (DOCK 1, THE PORT)
Mercado de los Colores (Market of Colours)
Up until September 11, Muelle Uno hosts a new rendition of one of Malaga's most emblematic markets. From 12 to 11pm Monday to Friday, and from 12pm to midnight on Saturdays and Sundays, you can find handicrafts, food products, accessories and much, much more.
Zoco Maravilla (Wonder Bazaar)
On the second Sunday of every month, under the canopies of the promenade, four 'wonder' villas are staged: mall, handicrafts, gourmet food and solidarity. The stalls are filled with top-of-the-line products among which you will find food, decoration, handicrafts and fashion catering to all audiences and tastes.
Its opening hours are from 12 to 7pm.
Mercadillo ecológico de Málaga (Malaga Organic Market)
On the second and last Saturdays of every month, Paseo de Reding and Huelin Park host an organic market with seasonal products, from 10am to 2pm.
