Beaches

Málaga's beaches are part of the soul of the city. They are urban beaches equipped with a wide range of services and amenities. The city's 14 kilometres of coastline are interconnected by promenades, making them the ideal place for strolling, enjoying the local gastronomy, sports and many other activities.

La Malagueta, La Misericordia and San Andrés, in the west, or El Palo or Pedregalejo in the east, are just some of the beaches that make up the Málaga coastline.

You can choose between urban beaches close to the historic centre, such as La Malagueta or La Caleta, and other more secluded ones, such as Guadalmar. There are also some that look like indelible images of the city, special enclaves such as the Baños del Carmen or the Peñón del Cuervo.

All along the promenades that border these beaches, you can find numerous beach bars and restaurants, renowned for their authentic traditional Málaga cuisine, with iconic dishes such as pescaíto frito (fried fish) and espetos de sardinas (sardine skewers).

These beaches are ideal for sunbathing, playing sports, strolling or simply relaxing, and can be enjoyed all year round. It should not be forgotten that any time of the year is the right time to visit and enjoy them.
