Flamenco has been declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2010 and is an integral part of Malaga's idiosyncrasy and character. Its guitar playing, singing and dancing can be enjoyed at various Malaga festivals throughout the year. Moreover, this Ethnological Intangible Cultural Heritage of Andalusia can also be appreciated in numerous flamenco venues and tablaos in the capital. This art is a unique spectacle with roots from the south that have resulted in bulerías, fandangos, malagueñas and much more. A must-see experience.

Peña Juan BrevaThe Peña Juan Breva, or Juan Breva Flamenco Club, has been devoted to flamenco since 1958, and organises educational and informative events designed to satisfy its core values as summarised in its statutes: to ensure purity, to continue learning and to propagate by teaching.
