TEATRO ECHEGARAY: Seventy-seven years after it opened as a cinema, and after a careful renovation to adapt as a theatre, Teatro Echegaray, with its with modern and versatile facilities, opened its doors in October 2009.

Conceived as a space in which to extend and diversify the cultural offer of the Teatro Cervantes with avant-garde shows, the Teatro Echegaray was renovated to enhance its versatility.

After its remodelling, the theatre seats 300 spectators between the stalls -with retractable seats that can be partially or completely removed– and two amphitheatres with modern interior and the latest technology. The facade and lobby faithfully reflect the splendid and noble building built in the thirties of the last century.
