The Sala Maria Cristina (Former Royal Conservatory Maria Cristina) is one of the most iconic buildings in Málaga and all Andalucía for its musical, pictorial and architectural qualities. Declared a Cultural Heritage Site (BIC) and dating from the 15th century, it is unique in the Spanish music scene for its acoustics. After its renovation, it was architecturally adapted to improve its facilities and accessibility, and extend its scope (musical performances in the concert hall) and restore the building for educational and exhibition purposes.
